Items You Need

  1. Baking soda
  2. Isopropyl alcohol
  3. Water
  4. Vacuum
  5. Spray bottle
  6. Cleaning cloth

Step 1:

At first place, you have to prepare a solution of baking soda with water. Once done, you will have to put it on the affected spots of your microfiber car seats. Make sure that the solution had covered up the dirt spots completely.

Once done, let it sit there for at least 30 minutes. If there is any odor or visible dirt material, this process will swallow them. Also, this will eat up any sort of moisture, if any.

Step 2:

Now, take a vacuum cleaner and apply it with a decent pressure on the spots where you have applied the baking soda solution. The high flow of air will absorb the baking soda residue, along with the dirt and dust particles.

While applying this vacuum cleaner, make sure that you have maintained a decent pressure onto it.

Step 3:

Now, you need to have a solution of rubbing alcohol and water. While choosing the rubbing alcohol from the market, make sure that it’s a mild one. Acute alcohol is not meant to be handled by hand.

For maximum safety, wear a plastic gloves when you are mixing the rubbing alcohol with the water.

Once you have prepared the mix, you need to apply that on the dirt spot. It will work on remaining dust. Also, it will make the hard and stubborn coffee splits, ink splits or similar kinds of dirt.

Remember that when you are applying the alcohol solution onto the microfiber seat, use a soft cloth to do that. Don’t directly put the aclhochol mix onto the microfiber.

Step 4:

Once you are done with the hard and stubborn kind of dirt and spots on the microfiber seat, take the vacuum cleaner over again. At this step, you will take out the dust and micro level dirt from every corner of the seat.

You can do that with the same vacuum cleaner that we have used in one of the earlier steps. But make sure that the cleaner is meant to be used on car seats only. Household vacuum cleaners are quite dangerous to use on a microfiber cloth.

Step 5:

Once done, let everything dry for quite sometimes. In case your garage or parking space has an abundance of airflow, that would be great. In case it’s a dump area, you can use pressurized air or hot air blower to fasten up the cleaning process.

Bottom Line

So, that was the complete process of how to clean microfiber car seats in a professional way. Almost all kinds of dirt should be taken care of in this way. If there are any of the spots left, you can try doing the same thing once again. This will help you out.
